"We could not have picked a more perfect photographer!! Kailey did our engagement and wedding pictures and they were beautiful! She truly has an eye that catches the perfect moments. Best of all, she is such a joy to be around! We are so, so happy with Kailey's work!"

"Kailey and her team were absolutely WONDERFUL! She did a beautiful job on my wedding photos, and even had them uploaded and ready for us to view within less than a week from the wedding date! Her work is stunning. Kailey came out to the event site early to scout out perfect shoot locations, met with me as many times as I needed to go over all of my wants and needs. She is professional, friendly, excited to be there with you on your big day, and thorough! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!"

"Kailey did our engagement photos and our wedding this past weekend. She is amazing! She and her husband worked hard to capture moments that were important to us and more! She's relocated to Charlotte now but still was present here in Wilmington all day and night. She goes above and beyond and you don't even know she's there getting the shot until you see it! Love her!"

"Choosing the right photographer is so important to any celebration that you want remembered. I am beyond thankful that we chose Kailey Faith Photography to document our special moments. They have a true passion for capturing life and it shows in their work. They were professional through the entire process, but connected to us on a personal level as well. They worked with us to develop a vision of the photos we wanted and then had the patience and ability to make it happen. You will not be disappointed!"

No matter the distance, we will happily travel to the corners of this beautiful earth to document your merriment. Whether that be in the hustle and bustle of the city or on a private island.

Kailey Faith and Matthew have a heart for travel and desire to tell your story from a local’s perspective. They take the time to do research prior to arriving to your destination and once arrived they scout the area, immersing themselves into the culture so they can authentically capture your day, true to the location you have selected.

What is your pricing?

We desire to give our clients a heartfelt experience. In doing so, we commit our time on a select number of weddings and destination celebrations each year, to give them the love and care they deserve. On average our couples spend $6250 for their wedding photography. To learn more about our availability and collections, please inquire here.

Do you shoot film or digital?

We are comfortable in both mediums, but in terms of preference, film is our weapon of choice. We bring film and digital cameras to all shoots and select the best format based on light. Though we will use film to shoot with for most of the day, we also use digital for back-ups to our film shots as well as in low light scenarios – mainly in the evening during the reception. All the images, however, are processed so they flow cohesively together.

Do you work with a second shooter?

Yes, my husband and business partner, Matthew. As a team, we navigate to document all facets of your day to be sure that nothing is missed. Matthew will typically remain with the groomsmen at the beginning of each wedding, capturing them getting ready, portraits, and details, but then he will transition to acting like a second shooter for important moments like the ceremony and first dance. Larger events may even possibly require additional assistance, in which case we will be sure to inform you of your options.

Approach to capturing the wedding?

We approach every wedding with a deep care of documenting even the smallest details. From assisting in setting up the timeline to guaranteeing the best lighting scenarios to making sure there is time in your day to spend with your loved ones. Our goal is to ensure you have a smooth and stress free experience where your day can be remembered as nothing short of whimsical.

What equipment do you use?

We shoot Nikon digital cameras, Canon 35mm film cameras, and Pentax 645 Medium format film cameras. We always bring backup camera gear.

How do I confirm my wedding date?

After you have selected your preferred collection, we will send you a contract for you both to look over and sign. The signed contract, and the retainer, are due 10 days after receiving it. Payments are broken into 2 equal amounts, 50% due at the signing of the contract and the remaining balance due one month prior to the wedding date.

Who owns the copyright to the images?

All photographs taken by Kailey Faith Photography are protected by US Copyright Laws. Once you receive the digital negatives, you will have a shared copyright for personal use. You may make copies of the images, display the images and share the images. All we ask is that you kindly give credit to Kailey Faith Photography when sharing on social media. For clients who are extremely private and concerned about their privacy, we do offer full buyout of copyrights to the images. Please inquire for pricing and usage restrictions.

Image turnaround times?

Our focus is to create beautiful works of art, using the best methods and finest products. Turnaround time for engagement and portrait sessions average 4-5 weeks. Turnaround times for wedding images average 6-8 weeks.

Do you edit every image?

The beauty of film is most images only need slight retouching. The final gallery you receive is corrected for color and adjusted for exposure.

Images that you order as prints from the gallery or those that you’ve chosen for your album will receive a final inspection and may receive basic touch ups, including blemish removal, distracting hair removal, and possible cropping.
